Tight lining is the most advanced craft which is different from loose lining craft,the so-called loose lining is the teflon panel completely separate from the carbon steel body,When teflon panel under pressure by internal fluid,teflon panel will be close to the steel body,and depend on the steel body to sustain fluid prssure.
If loose lining was being chosen,the flange will inevitable increase,Flatness of the flange will reduced because due to uneven force,and it will lead to leakage of materials.In addition,welded joints are not fastness in this process,once the welded joints was fractured,the corrosive liquids will corrode steel body quickly and result a nasty accident.
In this process,there is a gap between teflon panel and steel body,leak point cannot be checked out by electric spark.Corrosive liquid was placed inside the device,the corrosive liquids will corrode steel body quickly and result a nasty accident.
In a word,loose lining craft has a lot of disadvantages,but tight lining craft don’t have those problems,it is the most safty and steady craft.
Tight lining (Feature&Process)
1.the feature of tight lining
A.the so-called tight lining is the teflon panel completely close to the steel shell,there is no gap、no air,the teflon panel sync with carbon steel body,when the pressure change inside the equipment,the carbon steel body sustain all the pressure,teflon panel woulen’t have any change.
B.Large-scale equipment could be produced integrally,it don’t need increase unnecessary flanges,and directly reduce the hazard risk of the loose of flange.at the same time,tight lining reduced the cost of the carbon steel tank and improved the ability of resistance to negative pressure.and the shape and size of the equipment is not restricted.
C.Teflon panel was pasted with carbon steel body closely,it will sync with carbon steel body,Ensure PTFE panels does not expand and contract due to the temperature variation,consequently ensure that the equipment can work steadily.
D.Teflon panel was pasted with carbon steel body closely,leak point can be checked out by electric spark,and welding the leak point to make sure the equipment meet the eligibility criteria,consequently ensure that the equipment can work steadily.
2.tight lining process
A.tight lining using teflon panels which has been activating treatment or covered with fiberglass cloth,then sandblashing the equipment to Sa2 level,and cleaned with detergent,then paste teflon panels inside the equipment.Paste strength between teflon panels and carbon steel body could achieve 5N/mm,it can make sure the teflon panels cannot deformation because of temperature variation.
B.Because the shape and size of equipment is different,it need to welding panels when processing,lining panels welding strength must reach more than 90% for security.to ensure that welding joint will not be broken.
C.Heating the device to make sure the adhesives uniform distribution after welding.eliminate the stress between the panels.then pumping the air out between the teflon panels and the carbon steel body,to make it close to the vacuum.avoid the expansion of the residual air during operating.
D.After pumping the air and eliminate the stress,detailed inspection of the equipment,ensure that the equiment for qualified products.
In a word,tight lining has a lot of advantages in craft,it also has a long working life timer,in generally,it would not less than 30 years in the correct operation specification.
